- I was born and raised in Brazil and amidst all the ups and downs of a normal childhood the certainty of rich and smooth "docinhos"(candies) and "bomboms" in every birthday party was an apex of happiness for me. My best friend of nearly 20 years feels the same way and for this reason and the desire to be near each other (she lives in Massachusetts right now)that we decided to start "Brazilian sweets."
